Jamaica is located in the Caribbean Sea off of the southern coast of Cuba. A premier tourist destination, Jamaica is often featured on sailings of the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. This destination's mild climate makes it the perfect place to visit on a cruise journey year-round, as temperatures usually stay in the 70’s and 80’s throughout the year.

The peak travel season in Jamaica is between mid-December and mid-April, when travelers are trying to escape snowy winter climates. Waitlists for popular activities such as golf may be much longer, and beaches and pools are more crowded than in the summer months. Many Jamaican festivals take place during these months, such as Carnival and Junkaroo.

The slower summer season in Jamaica, from mid-April to mid-December, means fewer crowds and lower prices. Keep in mind that rainy season falls during these months, and Jamaica is sometimes impacted by the hurricane season, which is from June to November.
